Is this a real test or a simulation?
It's real. You send an actual email to a real inbox, and the report is built from the exact headers and content that arrived — the same signals mailbox providers themselves evaluate.
How long is my test address valid?
About an hour. If it expires before you send your test email, just click "Get My Test Address" again for a new one.
Why did SPF or DKIM show as failed or missing?
A "failed" result usually means your sending server's IP isn't included in your domain's SPF record, or DKIM signing isn't enabled/configured correctly — use the Email Domain Scanner to check your DNS records directly. If every check shows blank/missing rather than a clear pass or fail, you're most likely sending from an account hosted on the same server as this test tool — see the next question.
Why are all my checks blank even though my DNS records are correct?
This happens when the test email is sent from a mailbox hosted on this same mail server. Mail servers correctly skip re-verifying SPF/DKIM/DMARC for their own already-authenticated senders — there's no point checking whether you're spoofing yourself. Send your test email from an external account instead (Gmail, Outlook, your ESP, or a different domain) to get a real result.
Do you store the email I send?
No — the message is read once to build your report and then permanently deleted from the test mailbox.
What's a good score?
90+ (grade A) means strong authentication and clean content. Focus on Authentication checks first — SPF, DKIM and DMARC carry the most weight toward deliverability.
